A Dream for a Small Town Inventor From Texas Comes True! (Shoreacres, TX) For me, this is all a DREAM COME TRUE, and like all good feeling stories, it starts at the beginning. My name is Allen Humphrey and I Invented Go-Kid™ in 2001...(much happens in this time) ... now it is Christmas 2007, and a happy but NY-seeking inventor builds a new design, the Rocket 6™, and ships it to Arizona to a kid named Will (age 10). A stroke had left Will unable to play with other ride-ons and bikes. The Go-Kid™ arrives at the exact same time as Will's physical therapist, who is immediately amazed by this Fun Toy and it's confidence building and therapeutic values and how much fun Will can have using it [see Testimonials]. Wills father, Dale, becomes a personal friend and benefactor for this trip. Simultaneously a Rocket 6™ is shipped to Tommy in Washington, D.C., where Tommy's mom, Simone, mentions to me the name of two companies, Ableplay and Lekotek. I contact them, and their therapists wanted to test the Go-Kid™ products at their centers! And now, next month, Raiko Mendoza from Lekotek is coming to the Toy Fair to receive samples for testing! The Go-Kid™ samples that will be seen in the NY Toy Fair are the same ones that boys and girls all over Texas have been Rolling and Coasting on for years! We have discovered an even more rewarding benefit to our original mission: "Getting the Kids back outside to play, chasing fireflys like I did when I was little" You see, I got side-tracked from my original goal, because every guy that came in my shop said, "Hell, Allen lets put a chainsaw engine on 'em..." Well, I didn't exactly do that, but I made High Power Safe Stand-up Electric Transports and put 'em in the NFL, for Mascots and Stadium personnel to use, and this was a success also. Well, now here we are back to our original mission, with much needed wisdom, and more importantly, an evolved product that I personally have sold to ages 2-72. It is easy to look at and FUN to ride!
